According to Freddie Mac, 30-year mortgage rates are 6.30% and 15-year rates are 5.49% as of September 25, 2025. The following chart shows the 30-year mortgage rate trend over the last year.

🪙 Metal Detectors Unearth Wild Treasure
Metal detecting can be a fun hobby. And it’s always interesting seeing someone with the telltale equipment hovering over the sand at the beach.
But one such group in Europe recently uncovered a fortune.
Looking for German rockets from World War II in Poland, they instead uncovered “pots filled with coins and hundreds of grams of gold.”
The clay pots were stuffed with medieval coins, silver bars and rare ornaments. The very first pot they found on June 7 contained 631 artifacts.
They even uncovered a gold necklace (222 grams of pure gold) from the Roman period that’s possibly 1,800 years old.
