It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, wait … it’s Superman auto insurance prices!

Rates just keep increasing. A recent report claims the average auto insurance policy costs 26% more than it did last year (+46% in New Jersey).

When we’re getting hammered with premium increases that intense, it’s natural to look for ways to save money on car insurance.

Clark’s favorite is to re-shop your insurance.

It’s not always best to pick the company that offers the lowest price. You want good service if and when you need to submit a claim. But if all else is equal, why not pay less?

To that end, MarketWatch put together an excellent resource on pricing. First, the top 10 cheapest national and regional auto insurers according to its research:
