According to Freddie Mac, 30-year mortgage rates are 6.64% and 15-year rates are 5.82% as of April 3, 2025. The following chart shows the 30-year mortgage rate trend over the last year.

💵 Nearly One-Third of the World’s Billionaires Hail From the U.S.
Forbes released its annual billionaires list last week, unveiling 902 members in the United States out of 3,028 worldwide (29.8%).
But the list is tilting even more toward the United States over time, as America claimed 35.8% of the list’s newcomers. Within those ranks: Bruce Springsteen ($1.2 billion), Jerry Seinfeld ($1.1 billion) and Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.1 billion).
The wealthiest newcomer: Marilyn Simons ($31 billion). Her late husband is quantitative hedge fund icon Jim Simons.
Springsteen sold his music catalog, including 21 studio albums, 10 live albums and seven EPs, to Sony for about $500 million.
📊 Stat of the Day
🥚 116%: The increase in egg seizures by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the first two months of 2025. That includes a 158% increase at the border near San Diego, where egg prices across the Mexican border were less than $2 and egg prices in California were about $9.
