The TSA ā or the U.S. Transportation Security Administration ā probably wouldnāt fare well in a game of word association.
Almost no one enjoys the process of āgoing throughā TSA security checkpoints at the airport.
But did you know that the TSA can be a helpful information resource when youāre preparing to fly or in the middle of a trip? You can even text the TSA.
Whether itās what kinds of IDs will get you through TSA security or whether youāre allowed to fly with certain items, itās natural you may have questions about flying from time to time.
Yes, other options exist. The TSA website answers those types of questions. You can also call (855-787-2227), reach out on X or email.
Or text ātravelā to 275-872 for assistance from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. Much like a customer service phone call or online customer service chatbot, youāll get an automated menu to select between inquiry categories ā and then subcategories.
If AskTSA answers your question, great. If it doesnāt, say no and connect to a live āSocial Care Specialist.ā
Air travel can sometimes seem like a guessing game. But often the information is available from the TSA or other organizations. You just have to know where to find it.
